About the role

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to work with our team of researchers, designers and developers to identify requirements, set design goals, enable research and help our teams craft unique, strategic solutions that translate business and user needs into highly engaging experiences.

More specifically, the role requires:

  • Proven ability to plan and facilitate discussions, workshops, co-design sessions and project showcases with the internal team and stakeholders
  • Planning and conducting quantitative and qualitative research with people, synthesising research findings into actionable insights and tailoring research presentations to different levels of stakeholders
  • Analysing business and customer data
  • Leading the end-to-end experience design on new projects, championing design and research operations throughout discovery and delivery
  • Balancing and translating business strategy as well as other key strategies; brand, marketing and content, into effective UX strategy across client projects
  • Using a diverse human centred design toolkit to breakdown complex challenges and develop innovative strategies
  • To be comfortable with creating and presenting a range of design communication outputs such as user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, customer journey maps, UX reviews and audits
  • Also comfortable with visual design, user interface design and interaction design

A bit about you

You care about your projects and you’re looking to work with a team making a positive difference in people’s lives. This is reflected in your natural curiosity and respect for human behaviour and diversity. You’re excited by asking the ‘Why?’ and embrace the challenge of solving problems creatively and collaboratively.

You are a collaborator that brings everyone along for the journey. You have a mindset that sees how all the moving parts fit together, and like being able to talk to stakeholders about what is good for their business.

You can comfortably shift between practitioner, mentor and teacher to help others grow their skillset.

Qualities of our ideal candidate:

  • 5+ years proven experience as a UX/UI Designer.
  • A highly strategic thinker, comfortable evolving complexity and ambiguity into effective (and pragmatic) solutions and communicating it with compelling stories with stakeholders
  • Strong expertise in applying human-centred design and innovation methodologies across a wide range of challenges to solve problems and transform customer experiences (with case studies you can share)
  • Content life-cycle management, content strategy and copy writing and editing skills
  • Sound experience planning and carrying out research throughout the design process, including analyses and synthesis of findings, insight development and communication to team and stakeholders.
  • A demonstrable portfolio of your research, UX and UI design skills and experience
