Atomix has won the State Honouree Award at the 2013 Australian Web Awards for the category of “Not for profit” for the Relationships Australia SA website.
Our Managing Director (Josh Boorman) spoke at the awards night after accepting the award. He praised the RASA and atomix team for their hard work and quick turn around for the overall project.
Atomix delivered 8 websites in 10 weeks for RASA- an absolutely oustanding effort, but we cannot take all of the credit. The team at RASA were a dream to work with – they met key delivery dates and provided feedback in a timely and organised manor. This allowed the team at atomix to focus on the strucutre and functionality of the website allowing us to meet the strict deadlines.
We are very proud to be the recipient of the State Honouree Award, we have made a nice place for it in our board room! You can check the website out here www.rasa.org.au
Upon completing the project Sandra Vallance (Director of RASA) wrote about the project.
We have just finished a massive project to move all our websites the new (to us) WordPress Website Content Management System CMS. For the last 7 years Relationships Australia (SA) has used Sitecore in a relationship with another RA. Due to a number of decisions made, that became an expensive option, so good governance and management required looking at the marketplace what would be the most cost effective, quality solution that would meet our requirements – was that the status quo or a new Website CMS and web development partner.
Given the number of online CMS comparison tools and our new Online Communications Officer’s previous experience with WordPress, we crafted our Expression of Interest to Web Site Development Partners as “Why not WordPress?” and which partner will best meet our very tight timeframe. We ratified WordPress and selected Atomix – a choice we are very pleased with. So together, our Marketing team and Atomix embarked on the rather challenging project of moving 8 websites in 10 weeks (in order to avoid an exorbitant increase in licence fees that would take effect on 1 July 2013). I cannot understate how much work was involved and how key to success has been good planning, great execution, fast decision making, pragmatic compromise when required and just a little bit of the planets aligning with a little bit of luck along with keeping murphy’s law with his cricket bat locked in a concrete vaulted room. Well done Marketing team (Anne-Marie Greathead, Thaao Wolf and Rebecca Kersten) content creators and Atomix. Thank you universe!”
